It takes a village. The sum is greater than its parts. However you think of it, team work is awesome. Each of our grassroots partners has its own action plan and other activities beyond canvassing, and you can learn more about each group below

Our Grassroots Partners
31st Street Swing Left
31st Street Swing Left is a growing group of people from DC, MD and VA (400 members and counting) who want to help Democratic candidates take back control at the federal, state, and local level. We focus on identifying key local and federal districts with elections that can impact control of the White House, Congress, and statehouses (where congressional district lines are drawn), finding ways to support grass-roots groups who are working to expand and encourage voter registration and turnout in order to support Democracy at all levels, raising money for those key elections, and on knocking doors to persuade voters to vote for the candidates we support.
We of Action Virginia
We of Action Virginia – is an Indivisible group and movement for change. It was founded by a teacher on November 9, 2016. We are committed to advocating for a just and impartial government, respecting the separation of powers, and upholding civil rights and liberties. We represent a broad spectrum of backgrounds and perspectives, working together for positive results. Our mission is to empower advocacy, promote fair elections, improve voter participation, engage in productive dialogue, and support the pursuit of justice and tolerance..
TurnPABlue Turn PA Blue is actively working to turn the Pennsylvania State Legislature blue, district by district, through volunteer recruitment, training, and mobilization to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. Turn PA Blue helped to flip 5 PA State Senate Seats and 14 State House seats in 2018, along with one more PA State Senate seat in 2019!
In 2018, thousands of Turn PA Blue volunteers filled 2000 canvassing shifts, sent nearly 1,000,000 text messages, wrote 80,000 postcards, made thousands of phone calls, and deployed 300 volunteers to work the polls.
Indivisible Waterfront
Indivisible Waterfront is a Washington, D.C. grassroots organization primarily devoted to helping elect Democratic candidates in the neighboring state of Virginia. Our efforts locally are part of a national movement to defend American democracy by building Democratic majorities in state legislatures and the U.S. Congress and retaking the White House. We engage principally in fundraising and canvassing, with the IW leadership selecting our candidate roster. We also join campaign and voter-education projects in other parts of the country through postcarding, letter-writing, canvassing and fundraising..
Silver Spring Progressive Action (SSPA) We are neighbors in the Silver Spring area and nearby, who are outraged about the abuses of the Trump Administration and those in Congress who continue to enable it. We organized in 2019 and acted in the 2019 elections for NC-09 (lost), the Virginia legislature (both houses flipped!), and the Kentucky governorship (flipped!). We are determined to do our part for electoral change in 2020.
We want to pull people in and to mutually support and inspire, but not to overburden. We’re all busy, we all gravitate to things we like to do and avoid those we don’t – but we can all do something. And we’ll get to know each other better in the process.
